Barry Cooper is a world-famous drug expert and humanitarian who was once one of the nation’s top drug-enforcement police officers. Traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies have a strong culture and set of customs that may include mandatory guides claiming supernatural powers, a native jungle environment, banana leaves, rattles, chanting, improper diet restrictions, abstaining from sex and unsafe purification ceremonies.

All of these extras are part of the history and landscape from which the plant and vine is harvested. They add tradition and nostalgia and although they deserve our deep respect and acknowledgement, they are not necessary for the DMT to provide a life transformative experience.
